Pre-Appointment Information

Your next appointment can be booked by you by contacting the reception team when visiting our dental practice or telephoning them, typically after your routine check-up appointment, or to make treatment appointments as necessary.  Some appointments can be made online using the 'on line booking' link shown on our website.

Prior to your dental appointment, the dental reception team will contact you, typically by email or SMS. If you have not yet provided your electronic contact details, the reception will try to telephone you, or better please provide your contact details here. SMS messages have basic appointment information, which can sometimes cause confusion when a patient books multiple appointments on the same day.

We will advise you of your appointment date and time.  Due to the limitations of SMS text, we urge you to also provide your email address as it allows the details about your appointment(s) to be communicated - SMS text checks if the patient is well and prompts users to look at this website for full details of change or cancellation policies, etc.

If necessary, we kindly ask you to contact the reception team on 01449 771 700 immediately and not to visit the practice should you or a member of your household have or show symptoms of COVID19 or have a cough, cold or flu symptoms.  When you contact us prior to your appointment we will be happy to postpone your appointment to a later date, but if you have already missed your appointment (or if you knew you were unwell more than 24 hours previously) we will consider this as a failure to attend.

During times of high sickness in the community (COVID, flu, etc) please do not attend the practice in person unless you have an appointment, you are accompanying a person who requires assistance or are attending with a person who requires your consent.

When attending the dental practice, please continue to wash your hands on entering, wear a face covering  if you want (reception can provide you one free of charge if necessary), and socially distance as much as possible. These restrictions on free movement in the practice are concerned with keeping you safe, keeping practice staff safe, and minimising the risk of you acquiring or transmitting COVID19.

Failure to attend or failure to let us know that your cannot attend could result in removal from our NHS list or a charge if a private appointment is missed.  We ask you to give use at least 24 working hours notice.

As detailed in our Information Leaflet, attached below.  If you miss an NHS appointment, we will rebook it for you and there will be no charge, however if you fail to attend another appointment, you will automatically be removed from our NHS list and may only be able to attend as an independent patient subject to dentist availability.

If you are an NHS patient with a registered exemption, please bring your certificate for inspection at the dental practice.

All patients that take medication are kindly asked to bring a list to the practice for discussion with your dentist, hygienist or dental therapist when recording your medical history.
