Hygienist

Gil Le Grys is our hygienist.  She has years of private hygiene experience in Harley Street and dental practices north of London.  Normal working days are Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Our standard private dental hygiene appointments are 30 minutes, during which you will receive dental hygiene advice and a comprehensive plaque removal, disruption of the biofilm, clean and polish, or even have a teeth whitening customised kit made as referred by a dentist. 

Persons not registered with the dental practice can book themselves directly (direct-access) to see the private hygienist.  On the first visit a little extra time, 40 minutes, is needed to take your contact details and medical history.  (Similarly for new registered patients seeing the private hygienists before the dentist.)

We provide EMS AIRFLOW®  to all private patients.  These modern tooth/appliance cleaning treatments are a minimum of 30 minutes.  When there is heavy tooth staining and significant hard calculus, more time will be needed and any extra cost explained.

Appointments normally require a financial deposit.  Should you fail to attend, or cancel within 24 working hours of the appointment, you will be charged a fee (see private price guide).  Should you wish to spread the cost of your fees over a year please let the reception know or take part in our fees survey.

Please be aware that all our clinical professionals work to the GDC Scope of Practice.  A dental hygienist can look after the exterior of your teeth and gums. Dental hygienists are unable to diagnose tooth decay, they cannot fill or extract teeth or write prescriptions and do a full examination that only a dentist can.
